--Mimosa Systems NearPointTM has integrated with NetApp storage and data management solutions for enhanced archiving control and protection on several NetApp technologies, including NetApp SnapManager for SQL Server, SnapDrive, SnapMirror, and FlexVol. 
--Enhance Technology, a provider of enterprise and SMB storage solutions, has joined VMware's Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program.
--InMage Systems has joined LeftHand Networks' Technology Alliance Program, providing customers with an offering for disaster recovery, business continuity, and data storage. The companies have certified InMage's DR-Scout software with LeftHand's iSCSI SANs.
--Barracuda Networks released a new study that examines the adoption of message archiving solutions within a cross section of organizations in North America. Collected from the responses of 200 IT professionals in North America, the survey found that an overwhelming majority, nearly 82%, view e-mail archiving as "important" or "very important" for their organization. Furthermore, more than two-thirds of respondents cited reasons other than compliance as their main consideration for implementing an e-mail archiving solution. Respondents cited reasons such as user access to archived e-mail (21%), e-mail retention is considered a best practice (15%), and providing access to old e-mail when storage quotas are in effect (15%), as the most important reasons for archiving e-mail.
